Logistics Project Manager
Midlands | £35k + Company Car
Our prestigious client is a leading distributor within the building and construction arena throughout the UK and Europe. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Property Manager to join their existing successful team. The Role:
The Logistics Project Manager will play a key role in providing an effective and resourceful client side property solution for our client’s operational needs by understanding and implementing the commercial property cycle from start to completion.
Skills and Experience required:
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to “think outside the box”
- Ideally a Chartered Surveyor MRICS qualified would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent Project Management experience
- Extensive experience in dealing with external suppliers, over the telephone, face to face and through written correspondence
- Confident, Team Player
- Ability to demonstrate effective decision making skills and working independently without guidance
- Organised, thorough, with the ability to prioritise own workload
- Competent in a variety of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Database experience
- Experienced in communicating and influencing at different levels throughout an organisation
- High achiever with a systematic approach to delivering results
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK, including overnight stays
Reporting directly to the Logistics Property Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist with new property searches and acquisitions and internal mergers/site share requirements in line with the Operational requirements
- Work with the Property Manager to deliver new branches to the specification and within the timeframe required by the Operational teams
- Continually look for ways to improve the manner in which tasks are dealt with, feeding back to management your ideas and implementing agreed improvements where necessary
- Appoint and manage external agents as appropriate ensuring fees and costs are accurately reported internally and benchmarked
- Supporting the Operational teams with a commercial approach and effective property service
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm however, a degree of flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role.
