Electrical Engineer

Nottingham | £27k – £30k

Our prestigious client has extensive experience within its specialist industry sector. This is a small and friendly company experiencing rapid growth within the Renewables sector. Operating predominantly within the Agricultural and Commercial sector they are now looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their successful team. This is a unique opportunity to join an established company offering career progression and stability.

Skills/ Experience required:

  • Must have experience of working in a small team (sometimes just two people)
  • Experience of working at heights – essential
  • Experience of working with all types of power tools
  • Experience of working on sites that have had excavating and trenching work completed and working around heavy plant machinery
  • Confident, reliable team player
  • Aware of and work to Health and Safety at work regulations
  • Ability to work as part of a team or work self-motivated in isolation from other team members
  • A positive “can do” attitude
  • Qualified to C&G 17th Edition 2008 Level 3
  • Qualified to C&G Testing 2391 Level 3
  • NVQ/SVQ Electrical Installation Level 3 or Equivalent
  • You must have commercial and industrial electrical experience
  • Knowledge of the wind market and wind turbines is an advantage but not a prerequisite. That said candidates must have a strong technical knowledge of transformers, three phase installations, switchgear and handling large cables
  • Full, UK Driving Licence

 

Reporting directly to the Senior Technical Director your main responsibilities will include:

  • Installation and commissioning of Wind Turbine systems
  • Installation and commissioning of Electrical Installations
  • Installation of large electrical cables in the ground and final terminations
  • Assisting with Solar PV Electrical & Mechanical Installations on large roofs
  • The Electrical Engineer should be confident and able to communicate technically with all staff members and directors. The ideal candidate will be competent in Electrical Design, Microsoft Word, Excel and have the skills required to manage all projects onsite

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday (40 Hours)

The company operates Nationwide and overnight stays away from home are often, the ideal candidate will be adaptive as the role requires.
