Sales Engineer (HVAC)

Our prestigious client is a global leader in manufacturing climate control solutions for the commercial and industrial marketplace exporting to over 120 countries worldwide. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to join their successful team. The Role:

The Sales Engineer will carry out a key role in developing new business of portable and ducted HVAC products throughout the UK and the Middle East.

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience within the HVAC industry in Europe
• Excellent written and oral English
• Knowledge of additional languages – most notably Spanish, Italian, French, German, Arabic would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite
• Proven experience in the successful negotiation of sales & distribution agreements
• Understanding of manufacturing principles
• Quick learner able to assimilate detailed information and react quickly
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the industry including Consulting Engineers, Specifiers, Installers to Managers of large commercial organisations
• Self motivated and organised and able to work alone for periods outside of the UK
• Proactive approach to work load
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Knowledge of the cultural and regulatory requirements of selling in Europe and the Middle East
• Marketing /Engineering degree or practical experience of managing successful distribution networks in the UK, Europe and the Middle East
• Full, Driving License
• Able to travel extensively throughout Europe and Internationally including relatively long periods in the Middle East and Australia

Reporting directly to the General Manager Europe, Middle East & Africa your main responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate sales in the UK market – both direct sales to dealers and through an existing, consolidated, non-exclusive national distributor
• Develop new distribution into GCC countries (excl. UAE)
• Promote new product line into consultants and specifiers
• Management of stock and debtors including warehousing and collection
• Management of international relationships in the countries specified
• Achievement of sales and profit objectives of the company
• Marketing and sales promotion
• Promotion of products with British consulting companies involved in overseas projects
