Our prestigious client is a leading manufacturing within the plastics industry. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join their successful team. The Role:

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the existing operation is effectively managed and maintained to the company’s high standards whilst ensuring customers deliveries are accurate and cost effective at all times.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to “think outside the box”
  • Excellent Warehouse and Logistics Management experience
  • Confident, Proactive Team Player
  • Ability to demonstrate effective decision making skills and working independently without guidance
  • Organised, thorough, with the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Experienced in communicating and influencing at different levels throughout an organisation
  • High achiever with a methodical and systematic approach to delivering results
  • 5 – 10 years experience of working within a similar role
  • Previous experience of working within FMCG
  • Experience of dealing with £40 million plus turnover

Reporting directly to the Operations Director your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
  • Achieve 99.8% stock accuracy
  • Manage budgets and maintain statistical and financial reports
  • Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems, in conjunction with colleagues
  • Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers relating to Warehouse and Transport issues
  • Analysing data to monitor staff performance
  • Analysing data to make operational improvements
  • Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs
  • Analysing logistical problems and implementing solutions
  • Oversee the maintenance of Fork Lift Trucks and equipment
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are looked after and in good working order at all times
  • Liaise with production, buying and sales departments
  • Ensure that the whole team are motivated and have the relevant skills knowledge and attitude to contribute effectively to maximise productivity and profit
  • Ensure full compliance of all Health and Safety procedures

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday  8.30am – 5.00pm however a degree of flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role
