Maintenance Engineer – Multi-Skilled

Our prestigious client is a leading manufacturer within the plastics industry. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team. The Role:
The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring maximum production at the lowest possible cost and adhere to the approved quality standard whilst directing and managing the production personnel.
Skills and Experience required:
- Excellent attention to detail
- A background within the plastics industry is preferred, but would consider individuals from a dynamic high volume and progressive manufacturing environment (FMCG)
- Posses strong leadership and team building skills
- Be persuasive with influencing and relationship management skills
- Posses excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Results orientated with ability to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment
- Confident Team Player
- Ability to demonstrate effective decision making skills and working independently without guidance
- Excellent knowledge of electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic fault finding
- Target driven with the ability to prioritise own workload
- 5 – 10 years experience of working within a similar role
- Ability to meet targets and strict deadlines
- Experience of dealing with a £40 million plus turnover
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Carry out routine maintenance and inspections including PPM
- Carry out planned repairs to Injection Mould and Blow Mould machinery, factory and services
- Completion of maintenance documentation
- Evaluate, identify and carry put improvements to machinery and the factory
- Liaise directly with suppliers and service engineers
- Work closely with shift personnel
- Repair breakdowns in a safe & time efficient manner
- Be fully conversant with all schematic drawings
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday working on a 3 Shift Pattern: Days, Afternoons and Nights
