Shift Technician – Injection Moulding

Our prestigious client is a leading manufacturer within the plastics industry. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit three additional experienced Shift Technicians to join their successful team. This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation that will offer continued career progression and stability to the successful candidate.

The Role:

The Shift Technicians will play a key role in maximising production through continually improving efficiency of machinery, raw materials and personnel whilst ensuring all aspects of the Company Policies in respect of Health & Safety, Personnel and Quality Assurance are implemented correctly.

Skills and Experienced required:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have previous background in Injection Moulding or Blow Moulding within the plastics industry
  • Possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Results orientated with ability to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment
  • Confident Team Player
  • Flexible, highly motivated and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working within a similar role
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3
  • Experience with Billion/Sandretto/Engle/Arburg machines ranging from 60tonne to 1000tonnes and Robots Star and Sepro would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given

Reporting directly to the Shift Leader your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide information which will enable other departments to coordinate effectively
  • Maximise the utilisation of Raw materials
  • Maximise production efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and procedures at all timesEvaluate training requirements of personnel and suggest ways of ensuring the requirements are met
  • Liaise with maintenance and planning to establish maintenance schedules
  • Use (Mattec) to maximise and record output efficiency
  • Use pack specifications and quality requirements
  • Be involved installing various tools and setting the machines and robots

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday working on a 3 Shift Pattern: Days, Afternoons and Nights
