Sales Executive – Commercial Solar Projects

Worksop | £20k – £25k + Company Car

Our prestigious client has extensive experience within its specialist industry sector. This is an exceptionally friendly company experiencing rapid growth within the Renewables sector. Operating predominantly within the Agricultural and Commercial sector they are now looking to recruit an experienced Sales Executive to join their successful team. This is a unique opportunity to join an established company offering excellent career progression and stability.

The Role:

This is a key role within the company as you will be responsible for generating new sales leads, identifying opportunities, growing and developing their existing portfolio of clients in the local area of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire whilst establishing strong client relationships and enhance our client’s position in the market place for commercial solar systems.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Must have a strong sales experience
  • Experience selling commercial  Solar PV(or engineering/environmental products) would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given
  • Confident, reliable team player
  • Excellent time management and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Positive “can do” attitude and a flexible approach
  • Ability to work to strict often tight timescales/deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to “think outside the box”
  • Self motivated with the drive and enthusiasm to succeed in this fast paced environment
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels of seniority
  • Proactive approach
  • Willingness to travel throughout the North of England

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director your main responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively promote the company’s services to new clients
  • Build strong lasting relationships
  • Development of the marketplace and sales in conjunction with the marketing manager
  • Site feasibility studies and site assessment for suitability
  • Liaison with clients by phone and on site to establish suitability of the site for purchased or power purchase systems.
  • Preparation of information prior to planning permission
  • Cross sell the solar and wind services of the company
  • Weekly & Monthly reporting on enquiry and potential sales levels
  • Budget preparation for monthly board meetings
  • Attend exhibitions to support the team

This position would suit a person who is looking for a big challenge and simply wants to get on and sell our systems and work with a proper internal support team to facilitate sales so both the candidate and the company can reach its full potential.

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday  (40 Hours)
