Learning & Development Officer

Sheffield | £18k – £20k

Our prestigious client is one of the UK’s leading independent brokers providing expert advice on Health Care Insurance products. Due to continued expansion they are now looking to recruit a dedicated Learning & Development Officer to join their successful team and work in their friendly and supportive environment. The Role:

As a Learning & Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, planning, designing and delivering effective, world-class training and on-going development to staff.

Skills and Experience required:

  • A recognised trainer qualification (or working towards) such as CIPD/CITP, TAP or NVQ L&D OR relevant training experience
  • Experience and proven track record in the design and delivery of effective training and development initiatives
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Engaging and friendly personality
  • Ability to meet set targets

Reporting directly to the Head of Learning, Development & Digital your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all staff recieve comprehensive and consistent training
  • Design and deliver new hire training to staff that meet regulatory requirements,including mandatory updates
  • Develop a blended approach to learning, utilising all appropriate training methods and maximising resources available
  • Liaise with the HR in identifying external training solutions
  • Ensure all staff training records are updated
  • Ensure the effectiveness of training through course evaluation and analysis, act on feedback where necessary to ensure high quality training provision and continuous improvement
  • Support and facilitate the mentoring process
  • Provide management information on key training statistics
  • Keep up to date with developments and research new technologies and methodologies in workplace training, techniques and resources as well as legislative changes to ensure all training is up to date and meets legal requirements
  • Ensure continuous personal development

 

The hours that will need to be covered are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, with occasional evenings to attend staff meetings. The ideal candidate will also be required to work at multi-sites.
