Sales Manager

Our prestigious client is one of the UK’s leading independent brokers providing expert advice on Insurance products. Due to continued expansion they are now looking to recruit talented & professional Sales Managers to join their successful team and work in their friendly and supportive environment. The Role:

You will have proven sales ability to objection handle, exceed targets and deliver results. Motivated by success and recognition the main purpose of the role is to lead and develop a high performing sales team through continuous improvement and effective coaching whilst ensuring compliance to regulations including FCA, OFCOM and DPA are adhered to at all times.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Dynamic and inspirational leader with the ability to develop and coach a team of high performing sales advisors
  • Experience of delivering exceptional business performance through driving sales conversion
  • Managing P & L through effective management of cost
  • Previous knowledge and experience of managing a team of circa 10 – 20 direct reports
  • Regulated industry experience
  • Previous experience in a Sales Manager role in a targeted environment
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Resilient and hard working
  • Ability to remain calm and professional at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly, adaptable and an engaging personality
  • Results driven and highly focused
  • Organised and self motivated
  • Have a positive and proactive approach to work
  • Excellent sales closing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Packages, Excel, Word
  • Fast learner with the ability to absorb new information easily

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager your main responsibilities will include:

  • Driving sales results through effective coaching, personal development and performance management strategies in line with company policy
  • Improving quality through effective training and coaching and increasing the product knowledge of self and team
  • Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems wherever possible, and advising senior management on maximising business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can flourish
  • Manage the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s presence throughout the insurance industry

    Hours of work:

    Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week (hours of work will be flexible and dictated by the needs of the business therefore it is expected that the successful applicant will work those hours necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the role.
