Payroll Supervisor
Alfreton | £20k – £24k
Our prestigious client is a well established service provider that has sites operating throughout the UK. The group stretches over numerous payrolls, which you will be at the centre of within their Head Office in Alfreton. This is a position that would suit an experienced Payroll Supervisor looking to be part of a strong successful team.

- Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements e.g. SMP, SSP, redundancy
- Significant knowledge of UK tax and NI and compliance requirements
- Understanding of how pension schemes operate
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the payrolls
- Ensuring compliance with controls framework
- Managing all payroll enquiries from employees to satisfactory resolution
- Liaison with HMRC; pension providers and other third parties
- Knowledge of implementation of Apprentice Levy
Reporting directly to the Finance Director your key responsibilities will include:
- Collating timesheets
- Inputting hours on to Excel spread sheet from time sheets for all sites
- Payroll queries
- You will be responsible for the payroll for 14 Care Homes across the UK on a four weekly and monthly basis
- Processing 15 Payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll
- Input/Update all statutory payments as appropriate i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP.
- Pension contributions via Sage, uploading data to Nest
- Recording holidays for all staff members
- BACS payments
- Recording Cheques using Sage Accounts
- AOE-inputting data onto sage and recording all payments that have been made
- Changing pay rates as applicable, national living wage increase
- Year End (Payroll), producing p60’s
- Inputting new starters and processing leavers on Sage 50
- Liaison with HMRC; pension providers and other third parties
- Responsible for all reporting from payroll
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5pm, with a 15 minute break in the morning and an hour for lunch, 35 hour week.
