Mechanical/Electrical Engineer – Wind Turbines

Our prestigious client has extensive experience within its specialist industry sector. This is a small and friendly company well established within the Renewables sector. Operating predominantly within the Agricultural and Commercial sector they are now looking to recruit another Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join their successful team. This is a unique opportunity to join an established company offering career progression and stability.
Skills / Experience required:
- Must have experience of working in a small team (sometimes just two people)
- Whilst experience of working at heights would be beneficial, it is not essential. If you’ve never worked at height, don’t worry full training will be given
- Experience of working with all types of power tools
- Confident, reliable team player
- Aware of and work to Health and Safety at work regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team or work self-motivated in isolation from other team members
- Physically fit with a positive “can do” attitude
- Qualified to C&G 17th Edition 2008 Level 3 would be beneficial but not essential
- Qualified to C&G Testing 2391 Level 3 would be beneficial but not essential
- NVQ/SVQ Electrical Installation Level 3 or Equivalent would be beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of the wind market and wind turbines is an advantage but not a prerequisite
- Full, UK Driving Licence
Reporting directly to the Technical Director your main responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and maintaining wind turbines
- Installing and commissioning wind turbines
- Candidate will be confident when working with large mechanical components and have a strong fault finding capabilities
- A logical, methodical and practical working method is essential
- Candidate should be confident and able to communicate technically with all staff members and directors
- Proficient in working with laptops and also in the preparation of digital and written reports for submission to the office
- Maintain a company vehicle with necessary tooling and equipment to perform your role
- Ability and willingness to travel
Full Time – Hours of work: Monday – Friday (40 Hours)
The company operates nationwide and overnight stays away from home are often, the ideal candidate will be adaptive, as the role requires.
