Position: Principal Consultant
Salary: £60k – £90k + Car Allowance + Private Health Insurance
Location: Home Based
Our prestigious client is a UK based consultancy firm, specialising in asset management and business improvement specialists by delivering world class performance. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Principal Consultant to join their successful team.
The Role:
This is a key role in growing and developing our clients consulting and training business in the UK and globally by carrying out planned and adhoc business development activities.
Skills and Knowledge required:
● A degree or professional qualification with emphasis on either numerical or analytical content in subjects such as business, engineering economics, finance, mathematics
● At least 5 years’ experience in consulting at a senior level and/or 5 years’ experience operating as a senior manager in the Private of Public Sector
● In-depth knowledge of business development and marketing techniques and knowledge of current and future business environment, challenges and opportunities
● Excellent written, oral, presentation , persuasion. IT and analytical problem solving skills
● Ability to interact and influence Directors, Senior Managers and staff in client organisations
● Ability to understand the ‘bigger picture’, complex interactions and understand their impact
● Strong problem solving and strategic planning ability and commercial acumen
● In-depth knowledge of Project Management practices and application
● A working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO55000 and other standards
● Ability to write in-depth reports, analyse numerical data, identify problems & provide solutions
● An understanding of the requirements of the Data Protection Act
Your main responsibilities will include:
● Grow sales and market share of consultancy, training products and other services in the UK and globally in identified market sectors
● Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy including annual sales and marketing budgets
● Develop and maintain a sales pipeline showing sales opportunities, their status and the actions being taken to follow up and report at management meetings
● Identify and develop products and services for e.g. training, maintenance, asset management, manufacturing, HR functions and other offerings
● Develop an understanding of clients business opportunities and challenges
● Proactively make contact with existing and prospective clients to promote services
● Contribute to the development and content of the overall Strategy and Business Plan
● Liaise with the Marketing Manager to develop fully costed Marketing Strategies
● Inform the development of public training courses which meet the requirements of existing and prospective clients
● Recruit associates and full time staff, as required, to meet the needs of the business
● Actively seek opportunities to promote the Brand by giving public presentations at trade shows, conferences and similar events
