Salary: £45k – £65k + Car Allowance + Private Health Insurance
Location: Home Based
Our prestigious client is a UK based consultancy firm, specialising in asset management and business improvement specialists by delivering world class performance. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Managing Consultant to join their successful team.
The Role:
This is a key role you will be the main contact for assigned clients, to provide direction to consultants, trainers and project teams to ensure successful completion of assignments to customers’ satisfaction and carry out business development activities with existing and prospective clients to increase consulting and training sales.
Skills and Knowledge required:
● A degree or professional qualification with emphasis on either numerical or analytical content in subjects such as business, engineering economics, finance, mathematics
● At least 3 years’ experience in consulting at a senior level and/or 5 years’ experience operating as a senior manager in the Private of Public Sector
● A detailed understanding of assigned clients market sector including market conditions, business challenges and opportunities for growth
● Ability to write in-depth reports, analyse numerical data, identify problems and provide solutions
● Excellent written, oral, presentation, persuasion and IT skills
● Ability to interact and influence Directors and Senior Managers in client organisations and understand their impact on the clients business activities and business success
● Ability to motivate the project team/ other consultants and to work closely with the team to develop project plans and identify added value solutions
● Strong problem solving and strategic planning ability and a general commercial awareness and understanding of current business environment
● An in-depth knowledge of ISO9001, working knowledge of ISO 55000 and other standards
● A good understanding of the requirements of the Data Protection Act
Your main responsibilities will include:
● Regular interaction with assigned clients to ensure requirements are fully understood and delivered
● Provide direction to consultants and project teams to ensure work is delivered within agreed timescales and quality standard
● Deliver Consultancy projects, training courses and workshops to a consistently high standard
● Interpret findings from investigative and exploratory assignments, write in-depth reports, clearly identify issues and formulate and present findings and recommendations to clients
● Contribute to the developments and content of my clients Strategy and Business Plan
● Regularly make proactive contact with assigned current and prospective clients
● Review assigned assignments and the work of project teams members to identify successes and opportunities for improvement
● Identify development and training needs of assigned project team members and consultants and make recommendations for further development
