Business Development Manager (North)

Worksop | £32k + Company Car/Car Allowance + Bonus

Our prestigious client has over 15 years experience of providing simple effective energy saving solutions to individuals, businesses and communities throughout the UK. Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit two experienced Business Development Managers to join their successful team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company that will offer excellent career progression and stability for the successful candidates.

The Role:

The Business Development Manager will carry out a key role in identifying funding opportunities, growing the business and establishing strong client relationships and enhance our client’s position as market leader in developing innovative carbon reduction schemes. Focusing on Social Housing Providers, Local Authorities, Private Landlords and other businesses as and when new opportunities are identified.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Proven track record in selling business to business, ideally to Local Governments and Housing Associations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills leading to the closure of business transactions
  • Ability to work to strict often tight timescales/deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to “think outside the box”
  • Experience of project management would be beneficial but not essential
  • High achiever with a systematic approach to delivering substantial targets
  • Proactive Approach
  • Willingness to travel and cover a large territory throughout the UK

Reporting Directly to the Managing Director your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships and develop a client base who have specific requirements for our clients scheme management and grant funding services
  • To deliver multi million pound funding budgets in accordance with required statutory guidelines
  • To complete bid documents and develop complex scheme management proposals
  • To visit and meet potential new clients and advise them through the complicated processes of CERT and CESP funding
  • Maintain and enhance marketing media through the development of clients website, marketing material and other corporate branding opportunities
  • Working closely with the operations team in implementation and ultimately the handover of the scheme

Hours of work:

Hours of work: Monday – Friday to be agreed – a degree of flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role.
