Graduate Business Development Manager

Our prestigious client has over 15 years experience of providing simple energy saving solutions to individuals, businesses and communities throughout the UK.  Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit a Fresh Graduate with a degree in Business Studies, Sales & Marketing or Environmental Studies to join their award winning professionals within their Business Development division. Experience/ Skills required:

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills leading to the closure of business transactions
  • Ability to work to strict often tight timescales/deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to “think outside the box”
  • Experience of project management would be beneficial but not essential
  • High achiever with a systematic approach to delivering substantial targets
  • Proactive Approach
  • Willingness to travel


Reporting directly to the Managing Director your main responsibilities will include:


  • Ability to establish strong relationships and develop a client base who have specific requirements for our clients scheme management and grant funding services
  • To deliver multi million pound funding budgets in accordance with required statutory guidelines
  • To complete bid documents and develop complex scheme management proposals
  • To visit and meet potential new clients and advise them through the complicated processes of CERT and CESP funding
  • Maintain and enhance marketing media through the development of clients website, marketing material and other corporate branding opportunities
  • Working closely with the operations team in implementation and ultimately the handover of the scheme

No previous experience is necessary as the successful candidate will be learning all aspects of the business through a bespoke training programme; you will develop and progress over a one year period, as an integral part of their succession plan.

This is a full time position working with supportive colleagues and in a very pleasant working environment.

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm although a degree of flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role.
