Senior Software Developer

Worksop | £40k – £47k + Bonus

Our prestigious client is one of the largest independent transport and logistics companies in the UK. With significant investment in their business our client is looking to recruit another experienced Senior Developer to join their existing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an established in-house development team for a professional company that will offer the successful candidate continued career progression and an unrivalled opportunity to be involved with a long term and critical project.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Confident, Professional Team Player
  • Experience of working in an in-house development team will be seen as beneficial
  • A relevant degree (ideally in a computing or science related degree), or equivalent industry experience
  • Proactive and positive approach to workload
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels of seniority
  • Articulate communications skills
  • Professional ‘Can do’ attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • You must be used to working under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of C# with commercial experience of Framework 3
  • Commercial experience of WPF
  • Experience of WCF would be advantageous as would experience of a service orientated architecture
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 upwards an advantage
  • Ability to highlight areas which can be improved and to openly challenge unnecessary work, always suggesting the most efficient route to the right solution

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday: (7am – 8pm) My client offers flexi-time for this role.
